1. Product Introduction

6×7+FC/IWS wire rope is a robust general‑purpose steel cable with 6 strands and 7 wires per strand. Two core options are available: FC (fiber core) for superior flexibility, and IWS (independent wire strand core) for higher structural stability and crush resistance.
With a tight strand lay, the rope features good abrasion resistance and simple spooling performance. It is widely applied for light hoisting, guy wires, rigging, mooring, fencing, traction and construction temporary fixing. Available in bright ungalvanized and galvanized finishes, tensile strength grades 1570–1960MPa, complying with ISO, DIN and ASTM standards.

Q1: What's the difference between 6×7+FC and 6×7+IWS?

A: FC fiber core has better flexibility, suitable for frequent bending; IWS steel core has higher rigidity, better anti‑crushing and load‑bearing capacity, ideal for static guy wire and mooring applications.
 

Q2: Is 6×7 suitable for multi‑layer drum winding?

A: 6×7 has relatively hard structure, it is more suitable for single‑layer winding and fixed guy wire work, not recommended for frequent multi‑layer spooling.

Q3: Can it be used for overhead crane heavy lifting?

A: It is designed for light‑medium load, guy wire, mooring and traction. For heavy‑duty crane lifting, please choose multi‑strand compacted wire rope.
 

Q4: What surface treatment is better for outdoor use?

A: Galvanized wire rope is strongly recommended for outdoor, coastal and humid environments to resist rust and corrosion.
 

Q5: What size standards can you supply?

A: Both metric mm and imperial inch sizes are available, customized diameter and length are acceptable.
